about

What started as a collection of singles back in 2018 evolved into an album as patterns started showing up in the lyrics, the music, the themes and point of view. There seemed always to be a here and a there, and so much space to cross between the two. So Ithaca explores the idea of returning: to home, to routine, to relationship and intimacy, and the challenges that go along with that. It’s the result of inspiration and persistence, stubbornness and grace, good friends, good luck, happy accidents and catastrophes sometimes averted, a ton of expertise - a teaspoon of it mine - talent, hard work, generosity, patience, compassion, and fun. You might not hear all that on the record but I’m pretty sure it’s in there, somewhere. Enjoy
